Company - The Musical Memphis Theatre reviews
Spring Jam in Philly -Disappointed - 4/15/17
The opening group, Next, performed their asses off, and Guy - Teddy, Aaron, and his brother turned it out for an hour. They tore it up, worked the entire venue, off the stage into the audience. I was really the main reason I was willing to pay that much money for tixs. After the recorded music/track that they were singing to ended, they just left the stage. Brandon really brought it as did Brian, but I expected a couple of their new songs - nothing. I was expecting something more, a performance. So disappointed. I KNOW their music. I would only consider seeing them again if they were the only group, but I would not spend the kind of money on the tixs that I did. While they were not the headliner, Guy was, they came on right before Guy. They were really the main reason I was willing to pay that much money for tixs. Let me first say that I absolutely love Company - The Musical. They were SO SO disappointed by their brief appearance and performance on Sat, Mar 15th in Philly. Yes, on the floor, center row 7, and I was pumped for a spectacular performance. They only sang 4 of their songs, that's it, and then a Keith Sweat cover. I mean, wow. I was expecting a much better live performance. I waited 1.5 hours for them to come out, and a DJ or someone started their tape. No live band, nothing. It seemed like they were tired and just wanted to get through the 4-5 songs and leave. They were missing Kyle, and while Wingo and the Twins brought it, as much as they could with a member missing.
